Headstock/Neck Repair on Epiphone Les Paul

This Epiphone had been broken for around a year and the truss rod had been tightened to try to keep the neck together causing the end of the fingerboard to bend back making the guitar unplayable. The break was right on the scarf joint which suggest there either wasn’t enough glue used or the glue wasn’t good enough when the guitar was made.

As the guitar had been left for so long the break didn’t marry up as well as it would have if done straight away but it didn’t look too bad (sorry I neglected to photograph the final result!

I was worried the guitar would be difficult to setup but the truss rod worked fine and although I would recommend a fret level and recrown I hope the owner is happy.
