Fret Level and TUSQ Nut on Fender Stratocaster

The original plan for this guitar was to change the nut which was being made to work with bits of paper. On inspection the frets were very pitted and it was decided that a fret level was the way to go, the thought being that once the frets were “lowered” the nut might work again. Unfortunately not only was the nut cut too low but it had cracked in two places and literally fell apart. I replaced it with a TUSQ one at the owners request. Setup with 9 – 46 gauge strings.
